As we wind down yet another month I've realized that this year is already half over!! Where has it gone? We're just 21 days away from our Family Vacation. Heading down to Tucson this year, actually I call our vacation the Tucson/Tombstone Connection. Last time we went down to Tombstone was about 5 years ago and as I've mentioned before, it was the girls' idea that we go again. In fact this would have been our trip last year if we hadn't come into our windfall for the Washington DC trip.
Anyhoo, Still playing the games on facebook. Still not doing to hot in Metropolis mostly because I bought a cheap factory which brought the cultural level below zero. Oh well, I still haven't figured that game out and I may just give it up. My zoo is really flourishing and I'm having more fun with it! Still playing Vampire, Dragon, and Mafia WARS. Came across some other classmates of mine from high school which I haven't spoken to in years. Always good to try and catch up.
Today I got one of my final dental procedures done, the dentist called it the last of phase 1 but I'm not sure if there will be other phases. It is up to me of course although I do appreciate everything he has done for me thus far. Today I had a deep cleaning on my uppers, a small cavity filled and then the four lower front teeth yanked and replaced with a bridge. Again I came away with no lasting pain though the bridge is going to take some getting used to. I do have the option of getting implants towards the end of the year, but I may just stick with the bridge to use it as a constant reminder of my negligence on tooth care!!
Got a quick nap in this afternoon while I waited for the novacane to wear off then ate some things which was a bit of a challenge. Watched Charlie Chan On Broadway as well, one of my favorite Oland films. Haven't seen the Chan movies in well over a year or so.
The girls begin swimming lessons tonight, they're free so I can't complain.
That's all for here. My Yahoo Avatar is still in Madrid waiting for my traveling companion who is stuck in Venice!

I ditched my farm mostly because I got on by accident and really didn't know what I was doing. But since then I have joined the Metropolis game and created a city plus joined the Zoo game and created my own...well Zoo! Both seem a lot more fun than Farmtown ever was even though it's a little harder to maintain. So far I'm doing better and getting help from people who have the same goals!!
Did a little writing on my story at work but haven't moved it to the computer yet. Hope to tomorrow.
Took the kids out for breakfast and basically hung around the house all day. Except to take the kids to QT to buy those frozen cappacino drinks. Both girls wanted a 32 oz and although I told them it wasn't a good idea, they bought them and drank them and suffered for it! I tried to tell them but "what does Dad know?". Anyhoo they are in bed now and seem to be fine but they now realize the error of their way and will listen in the future!!
That's all I got really!

So within the last 24 hours I have become a member of a Mafia Family, a 6th Level Vampire, and now I'm an Amateur Farmer!! How is this possible? Why Facebook of course!! Can't say that I've ever seen this kinda stuff on MySpace (shudder!) Facebook gets more fun every day. I mean between the water gun fights and the super food fights, I just seem to be obsessed with the site! this year's NaNo Challenge is be just that...A Challenge! And I thought the NaNo boards were a distraction!
Anyhoo tonight's Monday night RAW should be interesting. Three hours, Three Title matches, and One spectacular evening. I got the kids trying to clean their rooms to get the privledge of staying up for the first two hours! I love "blackmail" err...parenting! At first they didn't take to it but now are scrambling to finish since the deadline is now only an hour away. Made it early so we can shop for munchies before tonight's show.
That's really all I have to say for now!

For the last several months I've had this desire to go to Peru and see the ruins of Machu Picchu! It looks really awesome. Especially having seen the footage taken by Alex Boylan on Around the World for Free now I REALLY want to go!
Well Sunday's PPV Extreme Rules was pretty good. Most of the matches were worthwhile and the event itself was solid. Kids liked it as did my wife so I would say, money well spent.
Saturday night we role-played with our kids and a good friend of ours. This isn't the first time the kids have played Dungeons and Dragons but they are still trying to get accustomed to the game. WE have this mini box set featuring 6 adventures which will take a player to the 2nd or 3rd level. Since the kids aren't very good yet, I am taking advantage of them a little against my wife's wishes. I convinced Erika's character to buy a cow for a mount since there weren't any mules around. Then later she wanted to go to the armorers and buy a Dire Flail to beat her mother with since she was being made to help clean the house that they live in. For the most part we kept the two on track with the adventure and they had a good time.
Last night, courtesy of Netflix, we watched a handful of episodes of a tv show from 1982 called Voyagers! It was a time travel show about this man who was a Voyager and this young boy who becomes a walking history book and they go through time and fix history. They have a device which if it blinks red, then something in that period is wrong. For example they arrived in Cuba and found the Spanish winning the war because Teddy Roosevelt wasn't with the Rough Riders. He was gunned down by Billy The Kid. So they had to find and rescue him and then return to Cuba.
The show was pretty much like that..more than one time period was featured and sometimes they were connected. It only last a season and I personally think it was ahead of its time in '82. I mean after that show came Quantum Leap, Time Trax and Sliders, all of which lasted a few seasons. The kids really like the show and my wife remembers watching it when it first debuted so we're all happy with it.
Also yesterday I took the kids back over to Fountain Hills where we hiked along the lake a little and had some lunch after which the kids played on the playground they have. I just sat there and enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. It was nice!!
Last Friday we all had Root Beer Floats which, I'm ashamed to admit, is the first one I've had in a few years. I'm ashamed mostly because I never think about it and when I do it's usually at work and then I forget again. But it was delicious all the same!

Although Father's Day itself is on June 21st, I'll be celebrating early as in this sunday! My wife ordered the WWE PPV "Extreme Rules" which features matches with violent stipulations! Cage Match, Submission Match, Ladder Match, No Holds Barred, Samoan Strap Match and others!! How awesome is that?
She and I are playing the 2009 game mode called "Road To Wrestlemania" featuring the tag team of Batista and Rey Mysterio. She's playing Batista and I"m playing Mysterio. We've already won the tag titles and Rey has won the Heavyweight Championship. And as the winner of the Royal Rumble, Batista get a title shot at 'Mania. It will most likely be against Rey and I've yet to beat him.
In other news, I'm in the middle of a virtual vacation with a good friend via Yahoo! Avatars. We're currently in London, England. Also on Facebook I'm in a virtual food fight with the same friend. Life is good!!
Well that's all I have to say for now! Probably be back Monday morning.

With the arrivel of June, it's about 45 days or so away from our family vacation. As I may have mentioned before, we're going to Tucson and Tombstone this year. Probably won't be as awesome as D.C. last year but then it's hard to top a vacation like that unless we leave the country maybe. Not likely to happen.
On Facebook, I'm up to 28 Friends. Whoda thought that that many people would want to acknowledge my existence let alone call me a friend! I'm actually enjoying the site as there is a great opportunity to find old friends from previous lives plus games to wile away the day. Kinda like the NaNo boards in October.
Towers 2 is shapely up nicely. Yes, I have been working on it! For some reason during the major heat of the day, I am unable to get online so I force myself to work on the book. Still haven't finished the story...the Washington scenario mocks me almost daily. I've been avoiding it trying to get other scenes edited and tightened up. If anyone is reading this, I could use some help.
Got together with one of my Mystery writing partners and we discussed plot and character names. She threw a couple ideas at me that I didn't even think about and I think it will help the story! I'll have to send along the ideas to my other partner so she doesn't feel left out. Yeah, I'm writing with two females! Pretty kewl! We think along the same line and have done NaNo before so I think it is a good chemistry. I hope to start actually writing this story in July. We need to flesh out characters and the three cities as well.
Well that's all I got for the moment.

My wife and I both have cell phones. In the last 12 years we got a landline two different times mostly for the purpose of our kids calling theri friends. But they don't and all we get are annoying sales calls instead. It's really not worth it anymore.

Well as my last day of vacation comes to a close, I actually find myself ready to return to work. Fortunately it will only be for three days and I get two more days off! Didn't really do much with the girls today as I wanted to relax for my last day. I did take them to the library this morning. Picked up a couple books for myself.
This afternoon I managed to grab a nap and then did a little editing work on Towers 2. This evening we went out for dinner and then over to Best Buy to pick up a cable for the new DVR purchased last night. Plus we also bought Smackdown Vs. RAW 2009. Instead of Buried Alive this time, it's an Inferno Match. Check Youtube for such a match, it's pretty kewl! The ring is basically surround by flames and the object is to set your opponent on fire. In the game, the temperature of the flames has to reach 500 degrees F before you drag them to the flames. You increase the temperature by doing specialty moves and finishers. But you have a limited amount of time to get them into the flames before the temperature drops and you have to work your way back up to 500. My wife played Undertaker and I played his brother, Kane, to keep it in tradition. Yes I lost! But I put up a decent fight.
On facebook I'm up to about 21 friends and started a new group today to coincide with our mystery stories. Hopefully I can get some interest and toss some ideas around. I want this to be a group effort and Yes I know what they say about a group doing anything. Our goal is to harness the ideas and make it one solid effort...if that makes any sense whatsoever.
Well that's all I have to say. We're creating wrestlers for this version of the game and will be looking to take titles away from wrestlers.
Cheers!!
