Yes it's true! We went to a party in Glendale last night and purchased tickets. Wanted to see a couple wrestlers but the line was way too long. No matter they have Fan Axxess in March the weekend of the event so we should be able to get 1 on 1 time with them.
My NaNo started off like a house of fire and I have suddenly stopped. Not that I've lost interest persay it's just that life is currently getting in the way and some other things are taking the forefront. So for the time being I hope to return to writing on Sunday and then write like crazy on Monday...in between my next dental visit.
Need to get my sermon ready for the 15th and my bible study on the 25th.
Uh, got family pix taken last month and will be picking them up on Wednesday. Hope to send out christmas cards right after thanksgiving.
That's all I got.

Honestly, is it just me or does the month of October get slower every year? Last year it was so bad that I had an emoticon war with a friend of mine for something to pass the time. Plus we came up with an RPG thread that we never would have done had it not been so boring. Then again I just might launch that thread again this year and see if there's any takers. I had one of my threads hijacked although those involved claimed they didn't. It seems that only 3 people are using the thread and no one else is in there. Sounds like a hijack to me. I tried to add some elements to the game but this trio seemingly ignored them and behaved as if they are the only ones in there. Oh well!
Been watching some cheezy sci-fi films on Mondays to gear up for my sci-fi scenario. The most recent is a 2004 movie called The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. It's a spoof of 50s sci-fi films and the dialog and actions are overdone to overemphasize the point. It was hilarious all the same. The movie was even shot in Black and White to give it that "authenticity". I would love to own a copy some day. Just checked Amazon and YEP they have it there.
What else? Kids are back in school this week. They were given an entire week off for Fall Break to coincide with the Mesa City Schools. I asked one of the administrators about it and she said it was to follow their schedule and that they were slowly leaning towards year round school. I inquired if they were doing the same, but she didn't give me a direct response. Hopefully by the time that happens both girls will be moved on to Junior high. I told them that they might have to go Year round and they both had a fit. They said that would kill the vacations. I said they give you three weeks in the summer as opposed to what 8 or 9 now? Anyhoo they will just have to suck it up and deal with it!
Finally, my combo book 1 book 2 is finally done. Won't be available in the bookstore until November something or other. Of course if you are on Facebook or NaNo, you can get it now for an insanely low price. Send me a message and I'll show you the way!

At long last the new NaNo season is here and I'm already making myself known on the forum boards. It's always fun to sign up and see those "faces" you haven't seen since last year as well as an opportunity to make new friends along the way.
I've already started several of my favorite topic posts both in the games section and RPG. And I hope to check out some of the info concerning plotting and reaching 50K. i'm always up for new ways to pad one's story.
My plot for book 3 is ready to go and I've left quite a bit of leeway in each scenario to allow expansion and creativity. This will be the final installment of The Askinar Tower trilogy and Yes, I have given thoughts to doing a sequel series but not for some time. Maybe in five years or so. Heck, I even have an idea or three for next year's as well!
Anyways that's about all I have to say this time round. I was given three days off from work next week, cutbacks and all that and I coincides with my girls having a week off from school as well. So hopefully we'll get to do some things together and maybe they'll inspire some ideas for this upcoming book.
As for Facebook, I'm going to try and keep a low profile as NaNo came first and will always do so in the future. So if you know me from there, don't be surprised if I don't update very often.
Cheers!

Hi all,
I feel like it's been forever since I last posted...two weeks is a long time, for me at least. Still plotting away for book 3 and I must say it is going to be probably the funniest of the three. Don't get me wrong, I'm not intentionally writing to be the funniest it's just that with all that ideas that I'm working on, it will most likely be that way.
Been watching some cheesy sci-fi movies to research for a scenario in book 3. Watched "First Men in The Moon" and "Red Planet Mars". Today I should be receiving "The Angry Red Planet" from Netflix.
Saw a hysterical movie last Thursday called "Gamers: Dorkness Rising". It's a movie about a group of role-players and they cut to the adventure itself with their character performing the results. If you're a gamer or know a gamer, this movie will make you laugh.
Wow! I don't have a lot of anything to say. Guess that's why I never bothered to update sooner.

Finally the day has arrived. After a dozen deadlines that have come and gone I finally have it completed! It took me three hours this morning to do the technical stuff such as changing the page numbers so that the title page et al had roman numerals and the rest of the book had basic numbers, making sure every chapter began on an odd page, tracking the page number of each chapter for my table of contents, plus making sure the bottom of each page had adequate spacing so the words were'nt hogging the little line that is inserted to keep the page number separate.
The only drawback is that my name on the front cover looks blurry like someone spit on ink and ran their hand across it...okay it doesn't look that bad but someone who doesn't realize it actually is blurry might think they are having an issue with their sight. I'll try and fix it later but for now I'm mentally doing the dance of joy over it completeness. I say "mentally" because, at my age, if it were physical I'd most likely pull a muscle or stub a toe or something else.
And yes, it is my birthday which is another reason I don't want to do something physical. I don't know what it is but it seems anytime my birthday or christmas comes along something always happens. Either I get sick or hurt some part of my body. So for now I'm staying put in the house.
I'm in the plotting stage for book 3 and eagerly awaiting the arrival of November 1st. I truly hope that I won't take as long to complete book 3 as the others but that remains to be seen. I do plan to combine books 1 and 2 under the same cover for a special holiday release to help those who have as yet to read book 1 to buy it and get both stories...not to mention other goodies that I will add that might entice those who already own the first 2 to buy this one as well. Hey everyone does it...at least as far as DVDs, you like the Director's Cut or the Extended Edition kind of thing, so why not a book? I was even going to include scenes from book 3 like they do in movies but I haven't completely decided on that yet.

Oh yes! I never thought I'd get this far what with putting it off for months on end especially last year when I worked on a new NaNo story for 2008 but at last I am coming down to the Finish Line.
I've gone through about 2 revisions and am planning yet a third but I put the finishing touches on (table of contents, title page, thanks yous, etc.) I just uploaded what I had in book form to lulu.com just to see what it will pan out as. The page count, as far as story content is about 232 which is, of course higher than book 1 at 191 pages. Now that is pages of story and not including the finishing touches. Still overall I think this book will surpass the first both in story content, interest, and of course a cliffhanger which may "rock your world"!!
So with that coming down to the wire, I'll be concentrating on plans for book 3 which will be my NaNo this year as I have mentioned probably a dozen times already. Oh and BTW, I will not be working on the other project at the same time. I will practice restraint and try to save it for next year. But I did tease that story in book 2 as I inserted a whole new scene having gotten permission from someone who's been seen on television as a host of a program. I'm using him as a cameo appearance and he will appear in book 3 as well. Who is this person you ask? Well you'll just have to wait for the book to come out. (or you can e-mail me and I might tell you) My writing partner-in-crime doesn't even know...yet.
So today is Wednesday and I am still off work. Not due to injury, that was last week but because of the holiday--Labor Day. To save money, the company gets this idea that, although they have to pay us for the holiday, they give you an extra day off to balance it out. So in essence, I'm not getting extra pay but regular but I don't have to work for it. Not keen on the idea but I'm not exactly running to management to complain either am I?
On Monday I took the family to the Arizona Science Center for something to do other than stay at home and ignore one another. A great museum with a lot of "hands on" exhibits. One of our favorite exhibits was the Forces of Nature display. Everyone got onto this large metal platform and they discussed the different types of weather while utilizing water, fans, and heat lamps to give you a "realisitc" experience. Tornados, fires, hurricanes, even earthquakes were discussed and felt. Pretty kewl!!
So last week on Wednesday I wrenched my back...again. It was at work, I filled out an incident report, to make them happy, and then left about noon. I didn't want to make a claim with the store because it was a pre-existing condition...more or less. Anyway Wednesday night I felt marginally better and was hoping to head back to work Thursday.
That morning about 3 am I got up and before I could place my left foot on the floor it went numb! I freaked thinking it was a pinched nerve or some such thing. Anyway the numbness went away but I called work and said I wouldn't be in. Went to an UrgentCare doctor as I wasn't sure how quickly I could see my regular doctor. The doctor was very knowledgeable of the muscles and related a similar incident he himself went through. I knew he would treat it the right way as opposed to guessing. I'm not always keen on UrgentCare doctors but so far I've been pretty fortunate.
So I spent all of Thursday at home just trying to relax and returned to work on Friday. The remainder of the work week went fairly smoothly with the occasional flair up but it was toward the end of the day.
That's pretty much it for now! I'll try and write again when the book is offically done...which I hope to be in another 10 days or so.

If I had the money, I'd buy 100 copies of each of my books from the Askinar Towers (1 and 2) and then do a autograph session and sell them at a flat rate price.
Wow! What a week of wrestling last week! On Sunday we watched the PPV Summerslam which featured the return of D-Generation X and the return of Shawn Michaels of that group. We also saw the shocking return of The Undertaker who, like Michaels, has been MIA since WM 25. Monday Night RAW was from Las Vegas and it also happened to be Vince McMahon's 64th Bday!
Tuesday morning I made my way over to Scottsdale to the Stone Cold Creamery where 5 WWE superstars were there to pose for pictures. Jeff and Matt Hardy, Layla, Eve and John Morrison (see Avatar) were present. Couldn't get autographs but it was a good time anyway. That night the family went to the ECW/Smackdown taping for Tuesday and Friday's show. Plus we got to see two extra matches for the WWE Superstars show seen on Thursday.
The show overall was great and we had really good seats...near the stage so we could see everyone coming out to the ring. The kids really had a good time as well and were very excited to see their favorite wrestlers in action. After the main event, which was in a steel cage, a large portion of the crowd left assuming the show was over. Well...the show itself for television was but the event itself was still going!
After Jeff Hardy lost and bid farewell to the crowd, CM Punk returned to the ring to talk smack about him when The Undertaker himself made a surprise appearance, chokeslammed Punk and then left. This was not seen on the show Friday. After that was over came a 6 man tag team match that featured Triple H and Shawn Michaels (DX) with John Cena VS Randy Orton and Legacy (Ted DiBiasie and Cody Rhodes). We knew this match was going to take place since it was advertised for two weeks prior, but assumed it would be in the middle of the Smackdown program. My guess is that everyone who left early thought so too. But in my experience of reading the results online, you don't go home until you are told to do so!
So we got to see some good stuff that those who left early didn't and never will because it wasn't broadcasted and most likely wasn't filmed. The purpose for the 6 man match, in which all of the stars are from RAW, was in my opinion, a way to promote the buisness since Phoenix is hosting Wrestlemania 26 next March. Incidently my wife is going to make sure that we attend! She said after attending this live event, we'd be fools not to try and go!
So the rest of last week was spent watching the shows on television hoping to catch a glimpse of us in the crowd...and we did on Smackdown! I could just make out myself during the announcement of The Undertaker to face the winner of the cage match at Breaking Point, and Sara was seen during Rey Mysterio's entrance!
On the writing front, I am trying to finish editing book 2. I wanted it done by end of August but failed, mostly because of last week! But I do have a new goal but i won't mention it. Anyway I got a few little tidbits to add as I've had some inspirations lately but they won't really affect the book overall.
Well that's it for me for now!
